CHANGES TO POPLOG LISP RECORDED HERE (For Poplog V15.6.4)

All the files listed below come from this directory in the poplog tree:
    $usepop/pop/lisp/src
There are three collections of files included here, in three different directories:
  • Files that have been replaced.
       chars.p 07-Aug-1995 16:59 4.4K
       hash.p 29-Nov-1995 15:19 8.8K
       itemise.p 25-Aug-1995 15:56 7.3K
       print.p 29-Nov-1995 15:21 19 K

If the new versions cause problems, restoring one or more of these files should suffice to reproduce the original behaviour of Poplog lisp.

  • Files that have replaced the above (Since 11 Aug 2010)
       chars.p 11-Aug-2010 14:22 4.6K
       hash.p 11-Aug-2010 15:57 9.1K
       itemise.p 11-Aug-2010 15:04 7.7K
       print.p 11-Aug-2010 15:01 19 K

  • New lisp source files in the latest AMD64 Poplog
       arrays.p 11-Aug-2010 14:42 19 K
       chars.p 11-Aug-2010 14:22 4.6K
       equals.p 11-Aug-2010 15:05 5.6K
       exporti.p 11-Aug-2010 14:48 6.1K
       exports 11-Aug-2010 14:27 61 K
       hash.p 11-Aug-2010 14:37 9.1K
       inlines.p 11-Aug-2010 14:46 14 K
       itemise.p 11-Aug-2010 15:04 7.7K
       print.p 11-Aug-2010 15:01 19 K
       time.p 11-Aug-2010 14:32 6.5K

These are included in the $usepop/pop/lisp/src directory in the latest AMD64 poplog produced by Waldek Hebisch, available in http://www.cs.bham.ac.uk/research/projects/poplog/amd64
Copied from 'the installation tarball' (Jan 2010) available at:

    HELP NEEDED

At present the altered lisp files for 64-bit poplog cannot be used in the 32-bit poplog tree. This is an unworkable situation. Someone needs to merge the 64-bit lisp sources and 32-bit lisp sources using compilation guards (#_IF).

Ideally this should be done for ALL the 64-bit poplog files, otherwise long term maintenance will be a nightmare. If you are willing to do this please email A.Sloman

Ideally the differences should also have explanatory comments.
